Youth Mental Health First Aid (Blended Online) - November Intake

Youth MHFA Blended Online Course

A flexible and practical course designed for adults who support young people. This blended program combines self-paced online learning with live, instructor-led training to build confidence in recognising and responding to mental health challenges in young people.

How the Course Works

Component 1 – Self-Paced Online Learning (5–7 hours)

You'll complete interactive eLearning at your own pace through the Mental Health First Aid Australia learning platform. This component must be completed before attending the live sessions.

Component 2 – Live Online Training (3 x 2.5 Hour Sessions)

Following completion of the online learning, you'll attend three live Zoom sessions delivered by an Accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Important Information

Minimum Participant Numbers
This course requires a minimum of 6 paid participants to proceed.

Course Confirmation
Registrations close on Friday 16 October 2026. Once minimum participant numbers have been reached and the course is confirmed, Open Eyes Training will purchase learner passes, activate online learning access, and issue course materials.

If Minimum Numbers Are Not Met
If the minimum number of participants is not reached by the registration closing date, the course may be cancelled or rescheduled. In this circumstance, participants will be offered either:

• A full refund, or

• A transfer to a future course date.

Refund Policy
Following course confirmation, learner passes, online learning access, and course materials are purchased on behalf of participants and cannot be refunded by Mental Health First Aid Australia. As a result, course fees become non-refundable once these materials have been issued.

Online Learning Requirement
The self-paced online learning component must be completed prior to attending the live online sessions.

Attendance Requirements
Participants must attend all three live online sessions and complete all course requirements to receive accreditation as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Course Transfers
If you are unable to attend after booking, one complimentary transfer to a future Open Eyes Training Youth MHFA course may be available with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability.

Registration Process
After booking, participants will receive an email with instructions to complete their registration through Mental Health First Aid Australia and access their online learning.

Foundation pricing of $249 is available until Friday 9 October. The course fee will increase to $299 from 10 October. Registrations close Friday 16 October.
