"Keep your Eyes Open"

Empower yourself to support young people in crisis with nationally recognized training.

"Two in five young people will face a mental health crisis this year."

Be the adult who knows how to respond.

Who We Are

Two in five young people in Australia will face a mental health crisis this year. That means the odds are high that someone in your home, your classroom, your team, or your organisation will need support — and they’ll look to the nearest adult to know what to do next.

Open Eyes Training exists to make sure that adult is prepared.

With more than 25 years of experience working with young people in sport and community leadership — and training delivered by an Accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor — we equip adults with the skills to recognise when something isn’t right, start a safe and supportive conversation, and guide a young person toward the help they need.

Youth MHFA training gives you the confidence to act early, respond calmly, and make decisions that genuinely support a young person’s wellbeing. It helps you become the trusted adult young people feel safe approaching — and it shows parents, families, and communities that your organisation takes mental health seriously.
